At Lab-Aids, supporting educators means more than providing high-quality science and math curricula. It means understanding the needs of individual schools and districts, building relationships with educators, and being there to support them from the first conversation through implementation and beyond.
Our Field Sales Specialists play an important role in that process. Working with larger school districts across the country, they bring a combination of classroom experience, educational expertise, and a genuine understanding of what educators need to help students succeed.
Meet six members of the Lab-Aids Field Sales team and learn more about the experiences that brought them to Lab-Aids, the communities they serve, and what they enjoy when they're not helping schools find the right resources for their classrooms.
Bill Gipperich brings 20 years of middle school science teaching experience to his role at Lab-Aids. He earned a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Illinois State University before earning a master's degree in Teaching and Learning with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction.
During his teaching career, Bill spent his final 10 years using the Lab-Aids Issues and Science program in his classroom! He saw firsthand the positive impact that hands-on learning can have on students, particularly in helping them build their abilities and confidence in science. While still teaching, Bill began working with Lab-Aids as a trainer before transitioning to the company full-time about 10 years ago.
Today, Bill partners with schools and districts to support high-quality science and math instruction, from learning about Lab-Aids programs to implementation and long-term support. His territory includes larger districts throughout Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. Outside of work, Bill enjoys kayaking with his wife, Melissa, and cooking. He's also played trumpet for most of his life, including in an Army Band!
Bellah Nelson's career in educational publishing began while she was still in college. She attended the University of Arizona, where she double-majored in Journalism and French & Francophone Studies. During her junior year, she began a sales internship with an educational publishing company, setting her on a path toward working with educators and schools.
While Bellah didn't come from a traditional classroom background, she has experience as a math tutor for middle and high school students who needed additional support with foundational math skills. That experience gave her an appreciation for the role educators play in helping students become confident problem-solvers and gave her firsthand insight into some of the challenges students and schools face.
Today, Bellah serves as a Sales Representative and Curriculum Specialist for the Southwest, supporting educators across Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, and Hawai'i. She helps educators make informed curriculum decisions through program overviews, samples, pricing, conferences, school visits, curriculum reviews, and Professional Learning.
When she's not traveling, Bellah keeps up with education and territory trends so she can anticipate educators' needs and provide responsive support. Her connection to her territory is personal, too. She's lived in four of the seven states she serves: New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Colorado! Outside of work, Bellah enjoys singing karaoke, being a crazy plant and cat lady, exploring local markets and festivals, or cozying up on the couch watching a new movie or the latest reality TV show!
Laura Rulison-Lange brings more than 25 years of experience in science education to her work with Lab-Aids. She spent 15 years as a middle school science teacher before serving for 11 years as a district science supervisor, where she led science and environmental programs as well as student research. She is also National Board Certified in Early Adolescent Science.
Laura's experience has shaped a strong belief in giving students ownership of their learning. She's passionate about helping students see themselves as scientists and recognize that they can be critical contributors to the world around them. That perspective continues to influence her work as a Lab-Aids Sales Representative. Laura partners with school districts throughout the Southeast and Northwest, helping educators find engaging science and mathematics resources that support meaningful learning in their classrooms.
Her work is about more than finding the right curriculum. Laura brings her years of experience in classrooms and district leadership to conversations with educators, giving her a firsthand understanding of what it takes to support both teachers and students.
Outside of work, Laura loves spending time outdoors! Whether she's relaxing at her family's 1850s log cabin, cheering on the sidelines at a baseball or soccer game, or caring for her flock of chickens, she loves spending time outdoors.
Jacob Kane has spent more than 20 years working in educational publishing, including the past four years with Lab-Aids. Before entering educational publishing, Jacob taught students with special needs, an experience that gave him firsthand insight into how valuable hands-on learning can be for reaching different learners in the classroom.
Today, Jacob serves as an Outside Sales Representative, working with medium to large school districts throughout the Northeast. He supports both math and science programs and works with districts that are interested in learning more about Lab-Aids.
His day-to-day work can include providing curriculum samples, leading program presentations, and facilitating pilots when requested. By giving educators opportunities to explore and experience the programs, Jacob helps districts make informed decisions about the resources that will best serve their teachers and students.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys traveling with family and friends and has a passion for music. In fact, you might be surprised to learn that he plays harmonica in one of the most sought-after cover bands in Western New York!
Holly Rubino knows what it's like to teach in front of a science classroom. After earning her bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Eastern Michigan University, with minors in Science and Math, Holly began her teaching career in STEM before spending seven years teaching 7th and 8th grade science.
That classroom experience continues to shape her work with Lab-Aids. Holly says teaching gave her a common language when working with teachers and school leaders, allowing her to understand the challenges they face and speak directly to what matters in the classroom, including student engagement. She now uses that perspective to help educators see how Lab-Aids programs can support both teachers and students.
As the Great Lakes Sales Representative, Holly works with larger districts across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Her days include connecting with educators, answering questions, and traveling throughout her territory to help districts meet their science and math needs.
Outside of work, Holly is a self-described die-hard Swiftie (“born and curated,” as she puts it) who loves thrifting just about everything! 2026 has been an exciting year for Holly, as she recently got married!
