At Lab-Aids, every team member plays an important role in helping educators succeed. For Susan Brown, that mission is deeply personal.
Susan holds a bachelor's degree in education and, during the COVID-19 pandemic, earned her master's degree in Educational Technology, Research, and Instructional Design. Before joining Lab-Aids, she spent 18 years in education, primarily as a middle school math teacher, where she was recognized as a Florida High Impact Teacher.
Those years in the classroom continue to shape everything she does today. That passion is something Susan carries with her every day.
"I've always believed that teachers have one of the most important jobs in the world. If I can help make their work just a little easier or help them feel more supported, then I know I'm making a difference."
Susan has seen firsthand the dedication, resilience, and heart that educators bring to their classrooms every day. She believes teachers deserve to be celebrated and supported for the lasting impact they have on their students. That perspective drives her passion for helping educators feel confident, valued, and inspired in their work.
As Sales Operations Manager at Lab-Aids, Susan is often the person connecting all the moving pieces behind the scenes. She leads the company's math and science adoption and RFP efforts, partnering with district leaders and internal teams to manage projects from start to finish. Her goal is to clearly communicate what makes Lab-Aids programs effective, research-based, and meaningful for schools, teachers, and students.
In addition to supporting adoption projects, Susan contributes to sales strategy and business planning while working closely with teams across Customer Service, Professional Learning, Product Development, and Technology. She is also the company's go-to expert on the customer experience within the Lab-Aids digital portal, helping ensure educators have a seamless experience across both the math and science programs.
No matter what project she's working on, Susan always brings the perspective of a former teacher. She understands the challenges educators face and is passionate about finding ways to simplify their work while keeping the needs of students at the center of every decision.
One of the things Susan values most about Lab-Aids is the company's commitment to combining strong educational research with genuine relationships. She appreciates that the team stays closely connected to the schools, teachers, and students they serve, allowing them to create solutions that truly make a difference in classrooms.
After spending nearly two decades teaching middle school, Susan still has a special appreciation for the curiosity, humor, and energy that middle school students bring every day. While she may no longer be in the classroom, she's proud to continue supporting teachers in a different way by helping provide the resources they need to help every student succeed.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, riding bikes around town, attending live theater performances, and relaxing by the pool. She's also an animal lover with rescue cats and a dog, enjoys great Mexican food, and never passes up a Dunkin' iced coffee run.
Susan's journey from the classroom to Lab-Aids reflects her lifelong commitment to education. Although her role has changed, her commitment to helping schools and educators succeed remains at the heart of everything she does. Through her work, she's helping create meaningful learning experiences for students across the country, one partnership at a time.
