Our Story

Founded in 1963 - Long Island, New York

Our story began with a commitment to make science learning more engaging, relevant, and accessible. Today, Lab-Aids continues that mission by collaborating with educators to provide trusted secondary science and mathematics curriculum built for real classrooms and real students.

Our Roots and Core Values

Lab-Aids began when our founder, Morton Frank, left the classroom to create high-quality, research-based materials teachers could trust.

Since then, we’ve grown from a supplemental-kit maker into a full-service education publisher. He established a few core goals—still central to Lab-Aids today:

  • Reducing instructor preparation time so they can focus on what they entered the classroom to do: teach.
  • Developing effective equipment and classroom kits to support lessons, experiments and activities that bring concepts to life.
  • Implementing high-quality instructional materials that are rooted in the best practices of inquiry-based secondary science education.

With the support of our development and professional learning teams, we can put together a full package to meet the needs for corporate community efforts, district and state level projects, and customized curriculum.
