Using a Digital Device in the Science Classroom

This session will support districts interested in implementing 1:1 digital initiatives and will focus on the teacher perspective, often overlooked.  This workshop will address the effective use of tablet devices in the science classroom. Content includes use of virtual or online laboratory activities, support for online science notebooks, free or low cost apps (iOS and Android) to support the science program, and supporting student creation of digital or electronic student work products using free or low cost applications in the classroom, and is often updated to feature new applications and tools.

Participants will be provided with access to our online libraries of student work products, online laboratories, and more, and will have extensive opportunity to practice with the app library and other workshop tools in real time.  This workshop is suitable for middle level teachers.
