I have been using SEPUP middle school programs for 8+ years and have found that they check every educational box that makes science a fun, engaging, hands-on inquiry experience. The students have buy-in because each unit contains real-life relevant issues cross-cutting through the activities that helps students see the importance of science in their everyday life.
It is easy for the teacher because it contains embedded literacy, excellent teacher manuals, and ALL of the materials are there in the units and drawers. These units can also be switched out to similar grade levels as the standards change. Most of all, this program teaches students that science is a process and they learn to think about and discover ways to apply science concepts as they work through the variety of activities available to them in the SEPUP curriculum.
