LABsents and Remote Learning Packets
LABsent: A Solution for Absent Students (Click to learn more)
Lab-Aids developed LABsent videos for students who miss activities in the classroom, but can now easily make up the work without requiring teachers to give up prep or after-school time to supervise.
The LABsent packet mirrors the lesson done in class, including questions asked and data collected. Absent students are asked to complete the portion(s) of the activities that they missed, allowing them to return to class ready to move forward with their classmates. Watch to learn more about LABsent videos.
Lab-Aids Remote Learning Packets include Student Sheets from Issues and Science, Third Edition that:
- can easily be posted to students through a remote learning platform
- fillable for students to complete online

Digital Simulations
To start, we focused on our beloved card sort activities and turned them into simple simulations that run just like the originals. Students can use these remotely or in a distanced classroom group through their Student Portal.
Simulations follow and enhance a concrete classroom experience. Simulations are used as models when a first-hand experience is not possible.

NOW ALL GREEN- EdReports!
Issues and Science brings middle school science to life by centering each unit around a real-world problem, encouraging students to explore concepts through hands-on labs and investigations. This curriculum fosters curiosity and creativity, enabling students to make meaningful connections with their learning, peers, and the world.
EdReports found Issues and Science to fully meet expectations for standards alignment and usability in Gateways 1-3.
